School photography backdrops

Hi folks,

I have been hired to photograph the students at a small (250 kids) school. I have never done this before - I have my own studio, do weddings, sports leagues, etc ... so I more or less know what to do, just not sure what to do it with.

In other words, I need to come up with three different back drop choices, but I'm shooting in a small space. I've heard of roll-up or pull-down systems (similar to a window shade) but can't seem to find a place to do them. The other option, I suppose, is to put three muslins on a portable rack and slide them back and forth as needed - seems like a time-thief and maybe unworkable.

If anyone has done this type of work and can suggest viable options, I appreciate the input. Money isn't an object - if this school goes well I'm promised the opportunity to do several more. I'm willing to pay for the right system, but not sure just what that is.

Thanks in advance for your helpful advice.

Shawn
