Went out and shot Formula Drift on their stop in Washington at Evergreen Speedway, had a blast. Here's a select few of my favorites out of many.

Man that 1st shot is great! You did a great job panning to get everything clear and sharp with the cars. The 2nd and 3rd are a bit dark for me..could be my monitor though. All great shots though!

Shots 4 and 6 are killer, and I don't even like the sport. Though I gotta admit I'm not very fond of the paint treatment done to the American Corvette. :(

Natalie, the first shot has virtually no panning to it. Its just a fast shutter to freeze the action.

You are correct, I went back and noticed how everything in the picture was sharp, not just the car.

Great stuff! I love #8 with the Mobil/Maxxis car. It has a great sense of motion and I really like the angle, being able to see the driver. I almost feel I can see where his eyes are focused. Great shot!

Very sharp David, not an easy subject to focus on especially with all those shiny highlights. The girls are nice too.... mwink.gif

I used a 10-20mm and grabbed a bunch of shots framing the grandstands, I panned a bit at that location, but being so close to the wall you really have to throw your camera to the right and hope for the best :D Here's one of the better images from that spot while panning

Not my sport to be sure, but this is truly great work. Very compelling images here - and when they are compelling to someone like me who doesn't have an interest in the sport that says something.
