I really like the field of yellow in the second image. The one thing that strikes me the most about this image is the blurry set of flowers at the very bottom of the picture. They are obviously closer, yet they are blurry. Blur can be used quite effectively in an image, but the closest items to the viewer should be the least blurred. Right behind the blurry flowers, you have the start of a good foreground -- look at the lines those flowers are making. I would say concentrate more on those lines and maybe move to the right or the left a bit to make one line a dominating vertical -- or play around with how to make one a dominating diagonal. Also, the top of this image has so little detail that I'd say you could make the image all flowers without the need to include anything on the top.
#1 is great -- #2 has a lot of potential and is pretty nice as it is. Good job
