Hello everyone! I just bought the Canon T2i, and I have a question about generic batteries.
I looked up the battery on ebay and its really hard to find a canon brand one, and the generics seem to be 1/4th the price. But I think the canon is 1200nmh and the generic ones are 1400, or something like that. I was just wondering if anyone here has any experience with this camera and the generic form of this battery.
I do have a generic battery for my Canon 20D and I dont notice any difference between it and the canon brand one, but the battery for this camera is new and maybe canon decided to do something to try to prevent generics from being useful.
Thanks for any advice!

The only difference between the Canon and the generic seems to be amp hour rating. More is usually better but not always.
If you're OK with the generic idea, I'd go with that.
One thing I really miss is having the manual settings displayed on the back of the camera. In order to see it now I have to look through the viewfinder, or push the display screen which takes a couple seconds to load. I know its not a huge time to wait but when your in a hurry, those couple of seconds are annoying.
Also, is there a way to turn on the menu scrolling screen, so you can move up and down? for example, in the iso screen, you have to push left or right to go to the next line, it would be nice if I could just push the down button to go from iso 100 to iso 3200.
