Kyoto: Gion Matsuri

This weekend was the end to the biggest festival in Japan, Gion Matsuri. I think something like 70,000 people were in the downtown area enjoying the festival on the Friday night, and about the same amount at the parade on the Saturday. Anyways, I enjoyed wondering around and thought I would share a few decent shots I got. Enjoy!

Nice set. I love the light in #2. Some interesting juxtapositions in #5 and, to a lesser extent, #6. Well done.

Hey Richard, thanks a bunch for the comments. I too really liked the lighting in #2, just shot it while walking behind them, and thanks about the other shots as well
