Couldn't seem to go anywhere over the last couple of days without seeing stripes, they were everywhere (including the sleeve of one of the police officers sent to question the suspicious individual taking pictures of buildings at 10 o'clock on a Sunday morning - ironically none of those shots even worked)

C&C always appreciated.

Agree - #2 is gorgeous. I wonder if it would be stronger for the theme with a little less sky - to put more emphasis on the dock?
Also like the colors & stripes in #5 - the clothes in the background make it a little cluttered - but the stripes at the very end look cool (if that guy wasn't hiding most of them).

I like the red/blue/green at the market, but can you reshoot at a more interesting angle?

    Thanks for the feedback Mark.
I had this place in mind the moment I saw the theme and after failing in my vision last round I'm glad it came off as I planned.

Thanks for the feedback lkbart. I'll try reducing the sky to see what it looks like. As for #5 the clothes were already up when I found this alley - the only one with any potential for the challenge, and personally I liked the guy at the back adding a little interest in what was otherwise a plain stripes everywhere shot.

Thanks for jumping in Kate. There aren't many great angles in that part of the market. If I get chance for a re-shoot of Sunday I'll see if there is anything (now I know where this alleyway is in amongst all the stalls.)

While I actually like the #9 image the best, the market one may actually be better suited to "Stripes". Both good shots, though.

I'm a little surprised that nobody has said they liked #3 ne_nau.gif. I have seen similar shots of piers, and they seem to always be centered straight out. Maybe I'm just a little wierd, but I kinda like the angle in #3, and love the colors and reflection of the sun. Just a thought, but when I scroll #3 to the waters edge and crop out all above it, it gets that emphasis on the "stripes", but still has that beautiful sun reflection. Anyway, just my 2c FWIW!
    Great set of shots!

Thanks for the suggestion Karin, I too was a little surprised that no one went for #3. I know what you mean about the pier shots which is why the majority I took that morning are angled to one side or the other.

Thanks for jumping in Aaron. I was having real trouble narrowing these down as the all said stripes to me which is why I'm grateful for everyone's input.
