So here are several different ideas on the stripes theme:

1. No name yet

2. Different shot selective color (okay for this round??)

3. All hosed up:

All C&C welcome - Thanks!!

Of the three, I like #2 the best.

And yes, selective color is allowed in this challenge.

Definitely #2. I like the light on the flower. And if you didn't say so, I wouldn't know it was selective color.

Something about the comp in #1 is appealing, but the flower is too dark.

Thanks to each one of you for your comments -MarkR, JohnRog, WhatSheSaw, Andman & Tylwydd - appreciate the input. & thanks also for the info on the selective coloring.

I may reshoot just cuz I don't think the photo is very crisp. I guess my biggest problem is that I feel the photo (any one of the 3) is "blahzay" (no spunk).

    Thanks again!

I'm not sure it really looks like stripes as much as it looks like an interesting perspective of the lines with the flower. Make sense?

Thanks for the feedback Jenn - I know it's not very colorful but I'm still working on it. Here's a few more trials - C&C please!

    I'm sticking with #2.
I can see where you are going with #4 and I like it as an image BUT it doesn't say stripes nearly as strongly as #2 imho.

i like #2 best. it does say stripes, and i wouldn't have been able to tell you used selective color either.

of the second batch, #5 is the more interesting one to me, but the bottom left corner is a bit distracting (i want to know what's going on in there and so i keep looking that way to try to figure it out)
