i was at the park with my son and the biggest horse-fly known to man landed beside me on the bench.

Nice shot of the big guy. Interesting how insects hang out sometimes
allowing time for some photos. Pretty sure this is not a horsefly, not that
I know my flies well, but is something called a Robber Fly (Family Asilidae).
At least I think it is.
