...........with the last couple shots. Some exposure problems....terrible light...and ISO 1600 (not to mention heavily cropped). Please....someone give me their Canon 400mm f/2.8 :huh :D

Cheers

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    BMP,

The last 2 look like ISO1600, but the first ones look fine thumb.gifthumb.gif

Yeah, the light looks like it was tough ne_nau.gif But unless you are independently wealthy like Harry lol3.gif you're like the rest of us. That is, you shoot using the available light whenever you get free for a few minutes of shooting rolleyes1.gif Which usually aren't during the "sweet light" hours :cry

I think you did just fine here :D

Why would I pay twice as much money to acquire the same "looking" shots?? All I have to do is crop poorly to chop off legs/wings...and mess with the blues in color adjustments in PS. I can "simulate" that Nikon look for much cheaper. :curtsey blbl.gif :lol4 :lol4 :lol4 :haha :haha :haha

Well......I got the chopped off feet down..but I still need to boost the blues. What do you think ...Ben, Jeff, Harry?? ne_nau.gif:D

Just bustin' your chops. I'd take a Nikon if you want to give me yours. thumb.gif

Thanks for the kind words everyone. (except SA Ben). My comments may have been a bit misleading? The first two shots were not with ISO 1600 (pretty clear). The last two were shot with high 1600 ISO...and cropped a good bit. If you like that super grainy..fuzzy...harsh look.. I've got plenty more. The high ISO isn't bad with decent light..but many of these are late evening or overcast/stormy days. Makes for some dramatic/moody shots..but usually clarity/sharpness suffer. Here are a handful more high ISO shots (800=1600).

These of course were snapped in the backyard. It is a real luxury to have such a place to shoot right out the back door. clap.gif I wish the houses at the neighbors and all the power lines were not here. ** gets evil idea...and grabs wire cutters **thumb.gif

    Cheers
