Eagle Portrait

A few days ago, I posted a picture of an Eagle taken at sunset. At a couple other sites that I frequent, it was mentioned that a different crop may be better. I worked on that last night and this is what I came up with.

    I understand "proper" composition via the crop.

    IMO your original shot breaks those rules in a good way. I would not change it. It is one of the most pleasing environmental shots I've seen here for some time. I actually felt like I was in the tree sneaking a peak...very powerful image indeed.thumb.gif

    IMO the crop is a big improvement. Changes a snapshot of a bird in a tree into an eagle portrait as indicated in the title of the thread. Nice shot with great lighting thumb.gif
