Woo Hoo, college football is about to begin and once again, I'll be covering Texas Tech from the sidelines.

Has anyone else gotten credentials yet?

    Congrats!

I was watching Sports Center and saw that camps are starting. For me, it seems like it should still be summer :)

So, that's the secret to not finishing in the bottom of the league? And to think, SOME people in my league(s) buy a magazine from the 7-11 on the way to their draft, then wonder why people laugh at them when they choose people who retired 2 months ago! eek7.gif

As for credentials, I have none. YET! I was lucky enough to get a pass last year for the Pitt/UConn game at Heinz Field. If anybody feels like giving any tips on landing creds, please feel free to private message me! If you don't have tips and would like to beat me about the face and neck area for begging for tips, by all means, please private message me! :D

I am a senior at UND, I started shooting for them in December 08. Basically, I emailed the athletic department asking who I needed to contact about the photography aspect. Once I knew who to talk to, I asked if they could use another photographer. I started off shooting for free so for them it was a win-win. They gave me access and they got free photos. The next year I was given a paying position and I started shooting a lot more events as well.

My advice is to ask if they could use another photographer (offer your services for free or cheap to get your foot in the door) and once you get some experience with them, ask about paying positions.
