#55 / Too Risque? Thoughts

Well, I wasn't quite sure if these were too much for the challenge, so thought I'd put them in here first.

If they're not too much, do any of the work?

Thanks in advance.

Wow! You don't see that on dgrin every day!
I like them. I think they are strong photos, and good on theme. I like that the model does not have picture perfect (according to our society) legs. I like the comps, lighting, cleanness of subject/background.

I really like the comp of #3, I think it draws the viewer to the strips...
IMO the processing of #1 is much better than #3, I dont like that tone for this subject.... but thats just me....rolleyes1.gif

Somehow this reminds me of the movie "A Christmas Story"lol3.gif

Great take on the theme - I like #3 - because of the look of movement of the one foot.

I like #3. #1 & #2 are a bit too risque for me (especially #1), but I'm imitating the sensibilities of a nine year (my nine year old likes to look at the challenge photos). I wouldn't be offended, though (and I wouldn't pull the plug on my daughter viewing the photos), just a bit worried about eventually crossing a line that would make the challenge forum not quite kid-friendly enough.

I also agree that I'd like the post-processing to be very stark black & white for this idea, rather than the slight brownish tint that's crept in on #3. In my mind, I'm referencing the 20's cabaret shots, and I think of them as being strong black and white.

I like the idea overall, the criss-crossed stripes, the legs, and the concept.

BTW, the post-processing in #1 works the best for me in terms of tone.

Aren't stripes parallel? Those look like diamonds ... although I am partial to diamonds .... lol

    Wonderful idea.
For me #3, but as others have suggested with the processing of #1, I find the tint distracting rather than complementary to the image.

Okay, thank you all for your input.

I am on my way out of town, so submitted my shot this afternoon.

Personally, I like the top one, but am a little bit hesitant that it goes too far, so the 3rd with new processing it is.

    Thanks again.
