"wrong format" error using J Friedl's LR export plugin

Can anyone help me get past the 'wrong format' error produced by Jeffrey Friedl's export to smugmug plugin (using LR3)? I get this intermittently. Read on his faq (http://regex.info/blog/lightroom-goodies/faq#sm_wrong_format) that this is sometimes due to file size so decreased JPG quality to 92 but the problem persists.
Greatly appreciate any suggestions.

    Hi E,
    Our apologies. A few subscribers have seen some uploading issues using the LR plug in. We have investigated and are working on a solution. Please stay tuned

    All we can suggest in the interim is to reinstall the plug in. If you continue to see the Wrong Format or Wrong Bytes Received error messages. Please try another uploader. The Simple uploader is very fast and robust.

    Thanks for confirming the bug.
    I managed to get it to upload by going down to 90 in JPG quality. Previously I had been able to upload at 95 without a problem though.

    I was already uploading at 76. I tried bumping it down to 75 with the false hope that a different (and smaller) size would matter. Would NOT want to upload at anything less than 75. Please, please, please notify of when this will be fixed as I'm stuck in the water right now.

    Looks like SM is having problems with uploads at the moment, no matter which uploader you use... http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=174155

    Ahh, nice catch. I have now tried again 24 hours later and all is working well. Glad that hiccup is behind us.
