I was at a race this weekend and got these two. What do you think?

I like the colors and concept and the reflections on the table. But these specific photos are a bit cluttered (too much going on in the background). And, the horizon line is off (the pictures look tilted). If these were mine, I'd play with cropping and correcting and see what could be done with them.

Nice stripes - pretty blue sparklies! I think I like #1 better because it's a closer crop, the stripes go out of the frame instead of stopping at the base of the trophy like in #2 (makes the photo appear taller!) & the background is nicer - IMO the racetrack & the green strip (stripe?!) plus the hint of flowers in the far back add to the feel of the photo, like you're in the winners circle. I wonder if it needs to be straightened a little? I get a little bit of a slant to the right. The "2nd" & "3rd" at bottom left is just a tad distracting, but if you straighten the shot, they might fall off the bottom. Not fond of the chain link in the back of #2.

I agree with Jenn. I would go with an even closer crop. There's no real need to see the tops of the trophies, it can just be all about the stripes!

Thanks for the input everyone. I have submitted this version.

I just gotta say I love these challenges. They force me to think about photos and how to look at them.

    I really appreciate it.
