Focus stacking practice - wildflower

First attempt at focus stacking... :thumb Stacked, cropped, and put through Topaz, so probably waaaay over the top.

    Came out well ! - looks like you have got some double borders eg bottom right.

    Thanks for the comments - yes, I think next time I'm going to bring the flower in and use a tripod to get it just right... I don't think I'm steady enough in the field for this yet. I really like the effect, hopefully with a few months of practice I'll be much steadier!

    I have problems without a tripod as well. Zerene has a retouching tool that makes it reasonably easy to clean up problems like double edges. You just select the image from the stack that is best at that point and paint from that to the stacked image.
