Spotted the shadow of this newly emerged hawker dragonfly on the underside of a large pond plant leaf in my neighbour's pond. It was still sitting next to it's old skin. managed a series for a focus stack but it flew off when I tried to move the leaf more for a better angle. Second shot a more detailed focus stack of the empty shell.
Both shots stacked using zerene stacker.

Please tell me - tripod or no for your focus stacking? Are you using Zerene for stacking now rather than CombineZM?
Michelle - no tripod - I was holding the leaf the dragonfly was on with my hand and resting the lens on that hand for the first shot. For the second shot I picked the leaf the shell was on and placed it on the ground and then rested the lens on my hand on the ground.
Combine series are very good especially for freeware but zerene does have some advantages that I thought were worth paying for.

If I post it, please tell me how to make it better. My fragile ego can take it.
