make a gallery protected , but allow some people to download

ok so i did a auto show and i would like to keep all the galleries protected...not a problem... i get that. But the team I shoot for (high intenzity) needs to be able to quickly download the shots... so can i make it both ways where to the masses of people its protected by only a select few can download?

I think the only way to do is is to make a copy and put them in an unlisted gallery with different settings. You could also group them in a sharegroup and give you team the link to the sharegroup.
