Noticed while visiting the Redwoods in Northern California that so very
many of the chopped down old growth Redwood tree stumps where
encircled by newer Redwood trees. So I laid down on the huge stump and
took several pictures towards the tops of the newer trees. Thought it
might be interesting to do so as the new trees practically enclosed the
old tree stump. The newer trees growing tightly side by side.
Shot with a 10-20 Sigma & 420EX Flash.

Really love the Perspective and subject, and the use of the Flash
was a great touch.
Very nicely done!!!

They look like very big pencils pointing down
I twirl around these days and I am down for the count No can do.
Interesting read your question on pricing.
I sure wanted it. Am working off my laptop for about the next month maybe
and that isn't making PP smooth at all. Not trusting my colors are showing
well on the net. Must be decent enough though. No one has said different.

to get to where I visually wanted to go. As is I had to dodge quite a bit
in an attempt to compensate. This was one of those times that proves out
carrying a heavy'ish gear bag and tripod though this was hand held.
Am looking up Kings Canyon.
Wow. Beautiful spot on the planet.
Also, I am reminded to get some gels in the bag for the flash. Been too long since
I ensured to carry them. Plus I have been saving for a 580EX for those times I need 2
strobes.
I thank you for letting me know Craig. Nice of you. :D:D
Packing that flash around has been worth having it handy.
Like that comparison. That would make them Paul Bunyan size.
And as luck would have it, Paul was in the area. Got a half decent pic of him.
Big fellow. Will post his photo.
Kings Canyon is amazing ... as there are no atheists in foxholes ... I believe there are no atheists in Kings Canyon ... a religious experience.

Agreed Gary. I believe that to be exactly the case on both points.
