Logos?

I'm having trouble coming up with a logo. I've 'trialed' and 'errored' many different logos, and can't seem to come up with anything that I'm pleased with. I've purchased photo shop brushes, graphics, etc and still can't do what I want.

My question? Does anyone know of a logo creator who knows how to deal with people like me?

Even when contracting a logo creator or similar, I think you need to figure out what you like and don't like; What does your logo need to be/not be? what does your logo need to represent/not represent?
