I went out to my new favorite site today. This site is only accessible by kayak. There is a place in the Hood Canal in Washington state where the Skokomish River empty's into it. It is at this point that there is about 2 miles of small sand barbs and oyster beds. Hundreds of them. You have to paddle through about a half mile of shallow water anywhere from 2 feet to 6 inches. You MUST do this when the tide is coming in or you will get stuck out there for hours. If you try to get out and walk, you will berry yourself up to your waist in mud. The light was harsh but it was a heck of an experiance!

Keep shootin' and postin'. No eagles for me so far this season so I'll just have to enjoy yours.
