Basic internet question - GoDaddy hosting

Hi all,

I apologize for such a newbie question but I'm not good at this web site stuff. Here's the question: I recently signed up with GoDaddy.com so that I can buy my domain names and point them right at my SmugMug site. I hope to use SmugMug to hold all of my photos and everything. My question is, is there any reason why I should pay for GoDaddy's Web Hosting service? It seems like the most expensive part of the package, and I honestly don't know if I need it if I am using SmugMug to upload and store all of my photos. I don't know what else it does. Is it just used for people who don't use services like SmugMug and instead build their own websites that GoDaddy can store?

You only need the domain name for use with Smugmug. Web Hosting would be if you wanted to have your own custom web pages that were not part of your Smugmug site.
