He's a cute little boy so both shots are nice. I like this one a little better maybe because we see his eyes. And, based on your comment for this one, maybe we see a little more of his personality.

What a cutie. I really love that soft light in his hair. And what wonderful eyes. I love the way he's hanging into the frame like: "whatcha doin?" He seems very curious as all children, especially little boys are.
I think I prefer this one. I really like the expression on his face and the evidence of his day on his shirt, as well as the lighting. The background on the other one was beautiful, but this is my favorite.
