Up the river with a paddle

[FONT=Verdana, sans-serif]On day three of my kayak exploration on the Hood Canal at the mouth of the Skokomish River in Washington State I decided to point the boat straight up river. I traveled about three miles up the absolute calm river and was glad to see the eagles that were not around the mouth of the river in the mid day sun as I have seen them in the morning had retreated to the cooler inland environment. Although more skittish on the river (I'm guessing the enclosed environment is the reason) I was still able to float up and take a few shots.

    Looks like fun!

That bokeh reminds me of what I get on bright BGs with my 400 DO.headscratch.gif

I really like #1. Nice exposure on the bird and great detail. It took me a while to spot the kingfisher. I thought you were just goin' artsy taking pictures of a stump eek7.gif
