Default Gallery Settings

It's been a while since i've done any customizing - wondering where i should go to "tell" smugmug how my default galleries should look - i know I can set portfolio pricing, but I'd also like to set portfolio gallery settings. My problem is not the galleries themselves, but when I create an event.

It basically goes like this...
**Create several galleries and lock them down so that they're protected, max size XL3 and 7 days before print. All turns out great...
**Then I create an event for someone using these said galleries. All shows fine - but for some reason the favorites gallery that comes from them becomes unprotected and I've lost business due to the fact that the files show as original size and fully downloadable as full res. I now have to manually go into the favorite gallery and lock it down. Too bad I didn't know it did this before - I've lost quite a bit of business because of this.

***I did email the help desk and strangely the answer wasn't satisfactory - they basically agreed that it's a problem and left it at that - no answer saying they were going to try to help me. Weird, I've never had an answer like that before.

    Hi Lorrie,

I'm so sorry you're having difficulties with 'events.' And for any misunderstanding of your email in to the help desk -

I've reopened that ticket and sent you response on it > we can communicate better through there - I'll look forward to your reply - we'll get this worked out -
