This is a crab in a mangrove area, seen during a boat trip.
Possibly a great white heron during the same excursion.
One of several hundred Bromelia species, seen during the walking part of the excursion.
An actual water mill first used for Manioca processing, and later adapted for sugar cane pressing. The gentleman in the banner is Ze Pedro, who had worked at the mill, and was born to parents who had been slaves until 1888.
Small waterfall upstream from the mill.
Unknown bird species, about to feed from some fruit left by the hotel owners next to where we had breakfast.
360 degree panorama of fortaleza beach, taken from southern end.
photostitch taken during the walk to Fortaleza beach.
