    Hey Tony,
Brave sould for getting out there in the heat! I'm dying here in NYC, I can't imagine how things are down there with you.

When I first saw this, I thought you processed it in a monochrome fashion, til I scrolled down to the street sign!

I like the stark feel to it--it looks hot and desolate.

    Funny title too.

That's why I haven't been posting recently. Temp up in high 90's and no breeze.
The sun is blinding. I just don't feel like going out with the camera.

On this shot, the building is gray and the clock and awning are black. Natural stark.

OK, this clock has peaked my curiosity.

What are the "times" on the other two faces? (it may be a "world" clock) rolleyes1.gif
What is that bell doing over the clock?
How are the bell and clock connected?

    Great photo!!

The bell represents the shrinking liberty bell. The clock represents the governments inability to even know what time it is, and the street sign says it all, it's one way Washington's.

My original title for this was "A stopped clock right eight times a day" because
there are four faces to the clock and all four show different times. However, since
I only photographed two faces, I settled for the title as shown.

I have no idea of why the bell. The bell appears to be much older than the
clock, so I assume that it served some function in the history of the town.
This part of the downtown of Titusville is somewhat historical in nature.

They've encourage the merchants to display old-times signs like these:

The best thing about the downtown is the Historical Museum. They have a
collection of old photographs going back to the turn of the (previous) century of
life in Titusville. Some very sharp and interesting black and whites.

I wouldn't of known there were 4 sides to the clock of you hadn't mentioned it. Turned out nice. I like that there isn't anything showing up in the "walk signs" below it.
