I responded to a for sale of a D2X on another Web site last night. The guy emails me back this morning about the details. I responded that I wanted to buy the camera and requested his phone number to arrange payment.

He emailed me back that I had 10 minutes to call him or he would sell to someone else. Of course I read this email one hour later and called him. The guy sold the camera to someone else claiming that this is just the way it is done! Silly me, I was in the operating room working and not able to check my emails every minute.

Am I crazy, or was this guy out of line?:dunno

As the seller he can make his own policies as long as you didn't put a deposite on it he can do what he wants. On the human note though I wouldn't deal with him cause of his personality.

bummer - but look at the bright side. an idiot like that may have been less than reliable at the closing end of the sale. You may have saved yourself even worse headaches.

    He's an a**s.

If yours was the first e-mail he opened, and you committed to buying, and gave your personal info, he's honor bound to give you the first stab at it.

I too have had your experience, twice.

What these 'in a hurry' twits don't realize is that if they have that much demand for their item, they won't have any trouble selling it even if the first buyer welshes on them.

I hold these characters in very low regard.
    Sid.
