    Hi Jenn,
I don't immediately see the relation between the two shots. Doesn't matter though because I really enjoy #2, it's a fantastic shot.
It's a fantastic slice of the everyday there. That family with the baby just makes the shot for me as well as the passing scooters all in the same scene.

I thought about giving a hint in the thread title and/or captioning each image. It's an Over-Under set. They were taken in proximity to each other; The first on the main road deck and the second below at ground level.

Glad you like the second. There's so much that most of us would consider private and personal happening in public, it's hard not to find scenes like these if you choose to see them.

I sort of saw the relationship (thought it was a near/far one, actually), but I think the 1st image is superfluous-- the 2nd image is incredibly powerful and stands on its own.

Both images are about movement and include a two-wheeled mode of transport.

The first image is clean, crisp, sterile, and sparse.

The second image is busy, full of life, ghetto-esque.

Who'd have thought that there is another level of road below the first...

Second is a wonderful street shot with the different modes of transport as well as the people. What's with the little table being there?

    Yes it is! mwink.gif

I live in Shanghai. Most of my images are from here and/or other places I travel to around China with the occasional shot from Down Under.
