Who knew there are black bees :dunno This is the first one I've seen (actually a pair of them)

I've done a little research, and they might be black carpenter bees. There fast little buggers :rofl

Anyone know for sure?

(btw: pics aren't great. 100% crop for better identification)

    Howdy Randy,

I've never seen them either, they look like our Bumble bee's in
    size and body shape.

Were these here or on your Travels?
    Take care,

I snapped these yesterday here at the house. They were the size of large bumble bees.

Geeeeezzzz....Randy. I think I'd rather tangle with a 60MM motor round than get stung by that thing. Nice shot.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

YIKES!!! I have a hard enough time seeing yellow bees...this would make it even harder to tell from a big country fly.

I've never seen one of these before or even heard of them. Hope someone comes along with some info on them.
