... but it wasn't intentional...

I found the spider in amongst some shrubbery, but not in a useful position, but having photographed a lily not long before, I thought it might make a good background, so I collected her carefully and dropped her onto the petal of the flower.

I should have guessed that the spider would have gone and run into the one position that I didn't want her to, and that was on the pollen covered anther on one of the stamen, as I'm not sure just how good for spiders the very sticky pollen is... probably not that good really... Anyway, she survived cos I checked an hour later where I had released her and most of the pollen had already gone of the body and legs (phew)...

Anyway, it actually made for quite a striking photo in the end... Perhaps you'll agree.
