Individual price/permission?

Ok, what I would like to do, is when I do a shoot, upload everything to a gallery. The client can access, and then choose a certain number for the price of the shoot that I will give free download access, and would like to provide at cost printing.

Is there a way to do this in the gallery they are in to start with?

Thanks,
Kevin

There is no way to give free download access to only some photos in a gallery. Gallery settings for free download are all or nothing for the entire gallery.

To do this via Smugmug, I believe you would have to copy or reupload the free download images to a 2nd gallery.

Or, outside of Smugmug, you could make your own zip file of those images and make that zip file available for them, perhaps shared via http://www.dropbox.com/ or sent to them directly with something like https://www.yousendit.com/.

Thanks Friend:) second gallery is what I wound up with which works fine. I'll have to look into the yousendit option as well, which also might be handy.

    thanks

If you were going to reupload a subset to a 2nd gallery for the sole purpose of single client download, then yousendit is probably easier for both of you. Make a zip locally, and send it to them through yousendit.

An optimization of this would be to move those selects to a second gallery, and use a smart gallery rule in the first to present them there as well.
