How I spent my summer vacation: motorcycle touring Oregon and the awesome Oregon coast, including Heceta Head Lighthouse, pictured here. Panasonic Lumix FZ35, PP in Lightroom 2 to make it pop. Cliche as heck but, gosh, this is a beautiful place and this turned out well, IMHO, for a shot from my point and shoot. I've printed an 11x14 copy, matted and framed it for my office. 1/250 at F/5.6, ISO 80, 28.0mm focal length, July 19, 2010.
Here is one that I shot with the D90, 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6G, of the waves crashing into the rocks at Yachats Beach. f/4.8 at 1/250, ISO 200, Programmed Auto, Matrix metering.
