Hello! Last weekend, I had the opportunity to shoot senior portraits of a friend's daughter, Toma. When the opportunity came up, I jumped at it--I had taken a few casual photos of Toma while we were at her mother's house for a party, and I could tell that the camera really liked her. Here are some of my favorites from the shoot. Comments and criticism appreciated!

... and a couple of playful shots from after we were technically finished and we were standing around and talking. These often have a tendency of becoming some of my favorites over time.

Jonathan, on 1 & 7 the lack of something to do with the hands kills the image. Do something with the hands...on the hips, crossed, holding the skirt out etc. Most of the images seem to look a little flat (1-2-4-5-7-8). Most digital images need a boost in the black point so try raising it up to 10 and see if you like the results. I really like 3-6 & 8.

Thanks for the comments! I ended up doing some that day with hands posed, and sometimes I forgot to do something with them. That's a great thing to try to keep in mind. I see your point about the black level, too. I consciously chose not to do that in some instances, but after a few days I see some where I might go back and add a bit more. All good things to note, and I really appreciate the feedback!

Just a quick comment from me.

On 5 and 6 I am distracted by the loose part of the dress on the right side.

    Other than that great set!
