Transferring Iphoto descriptions into SmugMug

I have set up a site for a bunch of people who were on a trip together. Each one has a gallery to upload his/her photos.

Two questions:

:- If someone set up an album using iPhoto, which I know nothing about, and copies all the photos up to smugmug, apparently the descriptive info entered in iPhoto does not translate into the SmugMug Gallery. Instead, the full album description from iPhoto gets input into the description for heach photo in the gallery. Any suggestions, other than "start over"? I gather this person did a lot of detailed work on the descriptions in iPhoto.

2- If there are several pictures, or perhaps all images within a gallery, that someone wants to be able to copy to his/her own computer, is tere a way to do that without having to do each one individually?
