Clone/Heal Suggestions

Hi -- Not 100% sure if this is the right place to post, but I wonder if I could get some direction for fixing this image. The chain link fence in the bottom left really bugs me. I've tried to heal it out in photoshop, however my issue is that when photoshop does the sample to blend it, it picks up on the dark colors from the bridge cables, and throws off the color of the water.

Any tips on how you'd go about correcting this? I'm using photoshop CS4.

Thanks!

Have you tried cloning at around 200% zoom? Gives you a lot more control. Do it in successive layers, so once you get one area right, you don't risk it working on another area.

Why not just crop the left edge of the image with the fence and the grass, and let the bridge exit the frame at the left lower corner? You may need to crop just a bit on the right side as well to maintain balance for the image.

    Just a thought.
