Killer Sweet Boekeh
I'll admit, I was not thinking "boekeh" in particular when I decided to spring for the Nikkor 70-200 f2.8, but dayum! I snapped off a few handhelds at close range to familiarize myself with the VR functionality and the boekeh in these two just blew me away.
The images themselves are drek, but holy moly, look how buttery and smooth! Happy, happy!!! :barb
I don't know 'bout you, but when I spend that kind of money, it's nice to get a quick result that leaves me just sitting here with a stupid grin on my face.

The bokeh is very nice in your pictures here! I recently just discovered the same thing with a new to me Tamron 70-200 f/2.8. So far I have been pretty amazed with the IQ.

The copy I have was manufactured in 1964 and has been a blast to work with. It is plenty banged up, but the glass is holding up okay and focus and aperture do their jobs. I am looking forward to trying some low contrast portraits with the lens. It is soft at f2 and allows for close focus.
