Lisbon, I mean... 200 miles to the south of Oporto. A beautiful place, full of interesting subjects:

Great set of pictures. Looks like a fantastic place to visit/photograph.
I have to confess to being partial to one of the 'tourist shots' - Belem tower looks really great.

Thanks. Actually, the tower was built in the 16th century and is a very beautiful example of the Portuguese "Manuelino" architectural style.

The comps are all very nice, and I enjoyed getting a glimpse of your beautiful city. The last 5 photos have the most punch because they either have interesting clouds, or they're dusk or night shots. The lighting is more bland in the earlier shots, so that's something to think about for future shoots. Overall a very nice job. thumb.gif

I agree with you. Actually, it is something I can´t explain...I also noticed some "bland lighting" at least on the first pics... not sure whether the problem was the time (abt 13pm) or the use of a B&W polarizer which sometimes surprises me with very strange results...headscratch.gif
    Thanks for commenting.

This may be obviously, but you should be able to get a pretty good idea of what your picture will look like just by looking through the viewfinder as you slowly rotate the polarizer. That way there are no surprises. It also helps immensely in dialing in just the right setting, especially getting the gradient in the sky right.
