Loading iPhoto metadata into Smugmug

I have a number of photos taken on my iPhone (via 3rd party apps, so until recently no EXIF data) that I'm trying to load into Smugmug with MacDaddy. Unfortunately, the iPhone metadata that exists (mostly Date Taken) doesn't show up. Is there any way to get iPhoto to write this metadata to the EXIF header or, alternately, get MacDaddy to pull the iPhoto metadata?
