Spotted strolling across the rug. It was about to bolt and do its normal trick of running at the equivelent of about 5 light years a second but it chose to freeze when I got in front of it... and yes it DID move (when at full Mag) and YES, I jumped like crazy. Almost dropped my camera lol.
..and yes the rug has since been hoovered after the spider was deposited outside.

I'm not exactly scared of spiders but do worry a bit if they suddenly disappear from the FOV and I'm not sure where they bolted to

See that's exactly my thoughts . If I know where it is then no problem for the most part. E.g There's another spider like this in the corner of our conservatory it it's messy little hovel. I know it's there and it knows I'm here but when it's not there, that's when I'll be wondering where it is..hehe.
