Went to DC this past weekend on a last minute trip. Did get to see some sites but am looking forward to going back and planning out more sites. Great area and lots to photograph!

5. From the top of the Washington Monument. originals were very hazy and gray/brown due to windows being pretty dirty. As I was PP'-ing I ended up with this look and kind of like it. Any thoughts? Maybe just me trying to make lemonade from lemons?

I think number 5 is a very good recovery from the overly dirty windows, it has an antique or aged quality about it. I have also been up to the top of the Washington Monument and I completely understand the issue you had with the window, it like they have never been cleaned.

Thanks Heather. You can bet I wouldn't want the job of cleaning those windows though. That's a loooooong way up. :D

The "up" ain't the problem . . . like the guy said, the fall's not so bad, it's the sudden stop.

Very nice...really good detail and lighting. Did you shoot all of these with your D300?

Sorry for the very delayed response, hadn't checked in awhile.

Yes all were taken with the D300,
