Giant in the dusk

The sun was down but not gone. The sky had this amazing deep dark blue about it and the pink from the sun was painted on the palm tree in my yard. Shot with long exposure and on a tripod.
I only wish there was a way I could have shot this without the grain showing up, but from what I know, so far, it's difficult to avoid.
Aperture: f/2.7 Focal Length: 6mm (guess: 28mm in 35mm) Exposure Time: 8s (80/10)
Welcome your thoughts.

I'm no photography genius and my night shots are hit or miss but what was you ISO set at in this shot?
The grain really shows up in the night shots with a high ISO. I tend to shoot my night shots at 64 and no more than 100 ISO. Hopefully this helps.
Here are some example links.

YEah looks like a really high ISO. What kind of camera are you shooting with?

Thanks for the pointer. I'll try shooting with a lower ISO.
