Here are a few quick ones from today's scouting trip around RMNP. I've got a line on some bighorn sheep for tomorrow so wish me luck.

Some kind of bee (lucky shot - I caught him just as he was touching down.)

Hopefully, some bighorn sheep tomorrow.

Great shots, and what a wonderful time of year to be in the mountains! Looking forward to more.

I think the bird is a grey jay or whiskey jack. The small bee is a hover fly.

    Excellent shots!

Hi Ann,im not sure about the "bee" however the bird is indeed a Magpie,I get them in my yard all the time.I checked my bird book just to be sure, you can tell by the bright blue on it's wings.Regards...Mike

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks to all. I'm still not sure about the grey bird. The closest thing I could come up with in my little quickly guide was the Townsend's Solitaire. I have a better bird book that I will bring up to the room tonight and see if I can tell for sure.

No luck so far today on the bighorn sheep. Did get some elk shots. Just taking a break and heading back out for the evening wildlife and hopefully a good sunset. I try to put up a couple more this evening.

Thanks, Ann. I double checked and you are correct about the Gray Jay. Thanks again.
