Hello everyone!
I just shot my first wedding as the primary photographer a couple of weeks ago and got a couple of tips from the videographer on what to bring next time. Those being flatware and a large bottle of water. I hadn't considered the flatware at all, not thinking about how often the flatware guests use are at their seats, and had to ask the catering staff for a fork and knife. (Previously, I had worked as second at shorter events where I didn't eat. This gig was for 10 hours of shooting).
So what are some other things I didn't think of (and haven't yet!) that you bring with you to a wedding/event?

I bring a lot of stuff and leave it in the car and send the assistant for it in times of need....
A second set of clothes and shoes
bandaids
hairspray
cornstarch (to cover stains on brides gown)
safety pins
gaffers tape
gum
gatoraide
water
water resistant sleeve for my camera and lenses
coins for meters
sandwiches for me and my assistant
white waterproof mattress pad (to protect the brides gown while shooting outdoors)

a sewing kit
all the photography stuff (including a whole lot of AAs and memory cards.... I bring 150 gigs of empty cf cards to every event)

Yep, I am loaded for bear. And, come to think of it, I saw one on the way home from my last wedding on Monday.
I hope my 2nd shooter will never see that comment You're too nice, hahaha.
