It's been another busy week, so I haven't yet tried my big painting idea. But I have these efforts from yesterday and one from Wednesday.

    I think 2 and 5.
2 the plane is focused well and the trees, prop show movement along with the plane off the ground so I already associate it with moving
5 is fun and I can tell it is a kitty- would darken up the background and remove the chair handle reflections.

I also like #2 for the clarity & contrast. And #5 is great cuz I like kitties! (but I agree that a darker processing would look better)

Thanks for the comments, DsrtVW, ilbcnu, AndMan, and lkbart!

I made some slight adjustments to the lighting on the kitty shot. Better?

My son likes this one the best, so if my other idea doesn't work out tonight, I'll post this one.

I do think it looks better - what if you cropped a little off the left (right at the transition from dark to light) & maybe the top? - Just a hint of the light at the upper left edge would make a more balanced frame.

Nice, but cropping so much highlights what appears to be noise.
Imho I would have looked at a square crop anchored lr.

Thanks, AndMan! Noise is problematic with my camera, especially in low light conditions.

    How's this?
