Overfocused

Horseflies' eyes are more oval than ball shaped and have a color-stripe pattern in their eyes (I managed to find one that didnt attack me a couple years back and took pictures of it)

Just curious.. I myself really like the butterfly one (why i put it first) but you all seem to prefer the last two. Anything i could have done better on the butterfly shot?

Comp? DOF? Wing is cut of course.. but? would love to get some C&C
