each frame shot needs to overlap the previous so you dont get the obvious oof banding.
Reworked with a different image... much more satisfying in my opinion. By the way, the line of missing DOF were crinkles in the wing, not missing information as I first thought it was. 3x-4x is just that shallow

Like the framing. Wish the lighting illuminated his face a bit more. The stack makes discontiguous parts of him in focus, which seems distracting.
Yeahhh I had a feeling it may be too distracting. There's still a nice single-shot version of it at least.

and the band of course..
You did get nice and close to the bugger
That's the structure of the eye not artifacting
