Looking for critique if anyone has any. This was manually stacked together and I couldn't really ask the dragonfly to stay for %100 depth :)

    My $0.01 - :-)

Like the framing. Wish the lighting illuminated his face a bit more. The stack makes discontiguous parts of him in focus, which seems distracting.

Yeahhh I had a feeling it may be too distracting. There's still a nice single-shot version of it at least.

Agree with BC - the OOF stripe is very noticeable but good try.

lighting looks too bright, much better to have the light into the face.
each frame shot needs to overlap the previous so you dont get the obvious oof banding.

Oh, cool, I almost asked how the single shot version looked. :-) Glad you got a good single!

mhmm since you asked for honest C&C..

the most striking is the eye actually to me, looks like some sort of compression artefacts headscratch.gif not so much pleasing to the eye

    and the band of course..

You did get nice and close to the bugger thumb.gif

That's the structure of the eye not artifacting

Reworked with a different image... much more satisfying in my opinion. By the way, the line of missing DOF were crinkles in the wing, not missing information as I first thought it was. 3x-4x is just that shallow eek7.gif
