Hack my stack, part I

Setup a small DIY light tent, grabbed a cactus from the greenhouse, and a gaillardia bloom from outdoors. This is a 3 shot stack, shot w/ a tripod, side lit with a single flash through a diffusion panel.
I am not crazy about how it turned out comp wise. Any constructive criticism for lighting, stacking, comp, item placement, etc. are welcome. I'll try a different type of 'leaf' soon.

Lighting looks good. If you are trying for refractions think I would just try this with a less imposing leaf - grass blades are obviously very good for that as there is not much leaf and you often get interesting curvatures.

Thanks Phil! Next time I'll try a 4 frame stack. Ridiculously easier on a tripod, it was!
Thanks for the feedback, Brian. I agree that the cactus greenery is wayyyyy too busy. Hoping to pick a cockleburr flower today to work with...
