Old Streets of Shanghai

I might be hunting on Michswiss' grounds here, so I hope she won't mind.

I took the opportunity of the nice weather (i.e. no smog) to take some pics of the old streets ("Lilongs") of Shanghai last Saturday.

All the pics were taken with my new toy, a Sigma 12-24. It's not the fastest lens around, and the sharpness could definitely be better, but it's a very fun lens.

If I'm not mistaken, you were literally in my backyard. That's where I live. My take on the family in #13 and the stairs you were likely on in #11.

Really nice to see the area from someone else's perspective. But, what you probably didn't realise is how close you were to the best beer shop in all of Shanghai. Jackie's Beer Nest. :slosh

Wow. When I said I was hunting on your grounds I did not realize I was so close to the truth!
Do you live in the building seen on #3? Plenty of expats there.

And indeed I missed the beer shop! Where is it?

I'm up closer to XinTianDi. Jackie's is about 50 meters down on the left from where Hufei Lu changes into ZhaoZhou Lu. Let me know next time you're around and let's meet up.
