1200 miles, 3 states, 2 countires, 3 kids, 1 wonder of the world
My wife and I are crazy. We packed up our 11 month old daughter, our 5 year old son, and our 9 year old son in a rented Acadia for an old fashioned road trip vacation Griswald style.
1st stop? Darlington PA for my family reunion, then Tom Petty @First Niagara Pavillion, didn't feel like sneaking a camera in and this was awesome sauce date night for my wife and I. Because of what I do for a living, my wife has this "thing" about the camera, she left her Blackberry at my aunt's and I left my camera. Concert was TOTALLY AWESOME, most fun I've had with my wife since BC (before children)
Cool little Museum in Darlington called The Little Beaver Museum
Sunday.

This is what a small town museum SHOULD be, a repository for people's life collections and unwanted heirlooms.
3.
The collection boasts a piano played by the great John Phillips Sousa!
4.
Monday! Next Stop! Buffalo NY and Niagara Falls!
5.
Lake Effect Diner...YUM!
6.
Looking bedraggled, but YAY! The falls!
Tuesday! Up and at'em...I'm on a BOAT!
7.
pressed a fellow smurfbag wearer into shooting this.
8.
The draw and power of the falls is indescribable, I couldn't help but feel like I was at the top of the world's most awesome-est amusement park water ride. I can see how not everyone who went over was a total nutjob.
9.
fallsbows but no unicorns.

Old Fort Niagara Lighthouse

St. John's Episcopal Gothic Revival 1878
12.
MOAR POWAH!!!
13.
My 5 year old son Owen (possibly inspired by the park's name Devil's Hole) pointed out this "wicked tree"
14.
So nice of those friendly Canadians to light our falls too.
Wednesday, we invade Canada!
15.
1st stop...butterfly conservatory.
16.
Expensive (Like everything in Canada) but I'm glad my wife made us go.
Then...wineries, something about wine makes me not want to take pictures, or maybe it was the snottiness of NoTL but I kinda stopped taking pics until we got back to the obnoxious tourist trap glass blowing, giant moose place.
17.
How YOU doin Moose?
18.
My sons were all about the glass blowing.
19.
Wednesday night fireworks from the Skylon Towers...weird watching fireworks from above, weirder with a bunch of smelly people who want to press right up against the fence like they've never seen fireworks before in their LIVES.
20.
Thursday...time to head home
21.
22.
Walked back over the bridge to spend our Canadian money in the duty free, liked this shot because it really shows scale.
found a dude on the Canadian side with a 1D series camera, somehow I knew he would know what "you focus with the star" meant...thanks Canadian dude!
23.
No man's land.
24.
Maybe I didn't get to take all the pictures I may have wanted to take, but with three kids, and a wife recovering from surgery and unable to heft a 18lb baby....well I think they had fun...and that is all that matters to me.
