7D failure

Just thought I'd report that my shutter button on my 10 month old (5K actuations) 7D stopped working properly for no apparent reason. Half press would not work and shutter release was very firm. Half press functions would occur simultaneously with shutter release.

It's off to Canon for warranty repair...I'll let you know the outcome.

    Thanks, Ziggy.:D

The upside is that I purchased another 7D...so I won't have the hassle of two dissimilar functioning cameras when out in the field. I'd have my 100-400 on the 7D and 400 DO + 1.4 TC on the MKIIN. After 18mp...8 isn't enough...not to mention the effective reach difference. The 7D is camera enough for what I do...and until this episode very satisfying to use. I shouldn't complain, this is the first failure for me and I'm confident it will be taken care of.
